Descrizione
The Neumann EA87 MT is a black shock mount for the legendary Neumann U87 condenser microphone. It isolates the microphone ideally, is equipped with a 5/8-inch screw thread and comes with a screw thread adapter. As the mount comes with a screw thread adapter to 1/2 and 3/8 inches, you can use it on nearly any microphone stand.

Tja, daar sta je dan met je dure Neumann U87ai microfoon, géén statiefbevestiging!
Waar de meeste microfoonfabrikanten doorgaans een (al is het simpele) statiefadapter meeleveren, krijg je als je een Neuman U87ia bestelt een microfoon, niets minder maar ook zéker niets meer...
En aangezien de microfoon constant in je hand houden ook geen optie is, toch maar gezocht naar een statiefadapter. De goedkoopste oplossing is de SG287, een 'starre' statiefbevestiging, maar die is (oktober 2015) niet door Bax leverbaar. Dan maar verder zoeken, er zál toch wel een shockmount bestaan die een 56 mm dikke microfoon aan kan? Nee dus!
Dan lijkt de enige optie te zijn de originele Neumann EA 87 MT shockmount.
Hoewel je zou verwachten dat zo'n ding een paar tientjes zou moeten kosten (vergelijkbare exemplaren zitten immers óók in die prijsklasse), kost deze Neumann shockmount maar liefst 269 Euro! (Oktober 2015) Dus dan deze maar knarsetandend besteld...
OK, toegegeven, de shockmount ziet er goed uit, is stevig en doet wat een shockmount doen moet, wat dat betreft gewoon 5 sterren. Maar die prijs? 269 Euro voor een paar stukjes metaal en twee elastiekjes?! Dat geeft je het gevoel te betalen voor iets dat het eigenlijk niet waard is...
Om deze reden dus maar twee sterren!
(O ja, hij zit wèl in een mooi doosje met "Neumann" er op, dat kost vast ook een paar centen...)
